I followed the instructions exactly and did have to restart the top two inches to get
it exactly fitted right to left and across the top. The problem came when I got down
to the last 2 inches the cover was too wide mid center to right and at the bottom
mid center to bottom by about 1/16". I contacted the vendor who told me to trim
this one section. No way was I going to take a knife or razor to my NEW Kindle DX.
I left it as is for a day or two but it bugged me so I removed it and trashed it.
Will look for another screen cover. Another complaint is the claim of Anti Glare,
when applied under room light I could see reflections bouncing off the screen.

I have used this type of product going back to early Palm Pilot. I have never had the problems like I had with this product. First, I cleaned the screen with the same cleaner I use on my LCD monitors and TV. While the fit was good, no matter how many times I tried, I could not get all the bubbles out - even using their little squeege. Second problem. This product has two tabs to help avoid fingerprints. The first one is removed before you install the product, the second after the product is installed. The first one came off fine. The second one did not. Careful as I could be, the paper began to separate from the adhesive. So, now I am left with a bubbly screen protector with glue in the upper left hand corner. Took it off and tried again. More bubbles... it is now in my trash can, and I will find another solution.

I found this screen protector too difficult to put on my Kindle. It was like trying to tint your own car windows, and I'm sure you've all seen how ineffective some folks are at that! I used the tool they provided to squeeze out the air bubbles, but I just couldn't get it to cooperate. So now I just wipe off the screen during and after use and keep the Kindle in its carrying case when I'm not using it. I had more success putting the skin on my Kindle, so I'm not all thumbs, but this thing got the best of me.

1/32" to wide and long, does NOT FIT without overlapping edge Nov 10, 2010

almost just the right size, slightly to wide and long. i was astonished at what 1/32" could do both ways. after 10 minutes it was a disaster in the making, dust, fingerprints, and a frown.
deep 13 this little item and placed an order for the one that got such good ratings on this product but was sent the other product....going to give that a shot...

The Clear Screen Protector is great for protecting your ebook screen from dirt and scratches. It is easy to install and does not cause a glare on your screen even in sunlight. However, I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 because no matter how much I work to get rid of a few tiny bubbles (1 or 2 tiny bubbles), I could not remove them. I would still recommend the screen since the tiny bubbles does not obstruct reading or overall use of my Kindle. Additionally, this is my second screen protector. My first one lasted for nearly 3 1/2 years and when I removed the old screen protector, my Kindle screen still looks like new...the Clear Screen Protector held up great.
