Nelson D. Schwartz is one of the NewsBios 30 Under 30 rising stars (1998) who has lived up to his potential. With each career move, his influence and reputation for quality business journalism has grown. This NewsBio tracks his career back more than one decade. I can only give it ** (2 stars) because I would like to see more recent personal background information and I'd like a better feel for his stature at the Times. Still, anyone who reads this will have a strong feel for who Nelson is and where he came from. Bio includes text of a memo from his Sunday Business Day editor and an exclusive interview with him conducted when he was named to the NewsBios 30 Under 30.
