After 2 months of using it, I can safely say that I'm very satisfied with this purchase (I bought it as Sony PRS-650 cable, but it's the same Micro-USB cable really and I use it with my Kindle).

I had to carry with me nearly half a dozen cables and portable chargers, now I use this retractable beauty, a few Gomadic tips and AC/USB power adapter from my Kindle (like this one - it's incredibly light and compact, smaller that most of the wall plugs, and it has a power converter inside!).

I was skeptical at first about these 4-section connectors (TipExchange), but it turned out they work perfectly well and reliable not only for charging, but for USB 2.0 data transfer as well. Choose your tips carefully though and read descriptions - it seems that Gomadic has two types of tips: charge/data and charge only. Looks identical, but have different "Tip ID".
