Responsible Warranty providers. Mar 23, 2010
By Ricardo Colon Bought a two-year extended warranty for a Garmin FR305 GPS unit. Near the end of their warranty period (3 years after purchase), the GPS broke down. Contacted Garmin for troubleshooting advice, and their remedy did not work. Contacted Squaretrade shortly after that.
Squaretrade sent me a UPS stamp to ship them back the unit. I understand that their standard procedure is for them to repair the unit and ship it back but in my case they called me up to notify me they did not have the resources to repair my specific GPS unit, ant that they would instead sent me a refund for the full purchase price. Not the actual used value, not even the actual new replacement value (the unit can now be purchased for $100 less than when I bought it). They did just that and it all took about a week.
Really couldn't recommend them more.

Check Your Product Warranty Before You Buy An Additional Warranty Nov 18, 2009

Amazon suggested bundling this "3-year from day of purchase warranty" with a high end Sony Product. Sony warrants that product for 5-years from day of purchase. Since both warrantees are from day of purchase, it's like sending a stranger $50.00 for NOTHING in return. Since most decent electronics have at least a 1-year warranty, calling this a 3-year warranty is deceptive; it's actually a 2-year extended warranty. Wake up people!

Purchase this warranty on your own and save big bucks Oct 30, 2010
By W. Napier I almost purchased the SquareTrade Warranty via Amazon, but I decided to check at the actual website to see if it was cheaper. Indeed, it was! About 30% cheaper! And then I thought, I wonder if there are any online coupons to save even more money and so I googled "SquareTrade Coupon" and found a coupon for an additional 30% off of the already cheaper price. By the time I was finished with discounts, I had enough to add an additional clause to cover accidents and it was still cheaper than Amazon.

Kathi's SquareTrade Review Sep 27, 2009

I received this product right when the seller said I would, as a matter of fact before, because it was online before I received the actual product in the mail. I think the information that the seller said about the product said it all, 3 yr warranty, Rated A+ by BBB...etc. You did not need to go any further than the description by the seller and you knew everything you needed. I am sure that I am not going to have any trouble with this product.
