Just the ticket Oct 28, 2009
By Solita Time This leather cover isn't "fine Corinthian leather" but it does the job to protect my Kindle2 without doing any of the hinge damage suggested by other models of covers. The Kindle fits snugly within the leather frame. After a while, you don't even notice it while you are reading. The outside cover texture is slightly matte, making it easy to hold securely. The inside is faux velvet. The stitching is close and even. The magnets keep the cover closed when the Kindle is not in use, and overall, the case does not add much to the size of the device at all. As promised, the cutouts provide ready access to all the buttons and plugs. And you can't beat the price. I'm very happy with my purchase. I only wish they had other colors besides black and red.

Love the fit and design...but Jan 09, 2010
By jen It has a great fit with a little padding and the magnetic closure is a very smart part of the design avoiding the potentially bulky snaps etc. Easy to hold and not bulky at all. I was avoiding the hinge styles as I'd read reviews of potential cracking on the kindle with them. It does securely hold my kindle without. I feel my kindle is perfectly protected in this cover.
I didn't have a problem with the smell at all I noted in other reviews.
The problem I've noticed after several weeks of regular use is some bubbling under felt on the the inside cover. That takes away from the otherwise high quality look and feel of the cover. I hope they sort that out in the future.
I am keeping my eye out for another cover but not aggressively looking as the pros outweigh the cons.

Excellent Dec 20, 2009
By Norma Paredes

After reading so many reviews of other Kindle cover I decided to go for this one. It is excellent! Does not scratch your Kindle, easy to use. My purse (no cushion in the inside) fell from a table and I thought this is it for the Kindle, so I opened up the cover, nothing it was in perfect condition, although now I am taking more care of my purse.

Beautiful but smelly Feb 24, 2010
By C. Phelps My cover arrived promptly and it is beautiful. The leather is smooth and the cover fits my kindle neatly and securely. The magnetic closure is elegant, effective and easy to use. I would have given a higher rating except the leather has been treated with a chemical that smells ghastly. It's been a few weeks and I can still smell it. I wish it had been available in a wider selection of colors.

Very Happy with My Choice May 30, 2010
By Avid Reader I spent quite a while comparing different kindle covers and finally decided on this one. One reason I chose the Trendy Digital MaxGuard Plus was its magnetic closure, which works very well. I also wanted a basic cover with no place for papers, pens/pencils, or business cards. This cover is light weight, fits snugly, and offers good protection with easy access to all buttons and slots. The price is reasonable.
Some readers have commented on the bubbling of the lining and the smell. The bubbling is minimal but noticeable. The smell is not as bad as others have described and is completely gone in a few days. I wish it were available in a wider choice of colors, but the red is a good choice.
